Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued a strong warning to ministers and MLAs who have recently made controversial statements, saying such remarks could harm the image and unity of the ruling Mahayuti alliance.

At a closed-door meeting with BJP legislators at his official residence, Fadnavis urged leaders to avoid making public comments that create unnecessary disputes or provide an advantage to the opposition during the ongoing monsoon session.

He specifically referred to:

A conflict between Shiv Sena Minister Sanjay Shirsat and BJP MoS Madhuri Misal, who publicly exchanged letters over departmental roles.

Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate’s controversial statement referring to the government as a “beggar”.

Fadnavis reminded everyone that decisions at the policy level must come from senior ministers, and internal matters should be resolved privately. He emphasized party discipline, responsible behavior, and strong coordination to safeguard the alliance and warned that “tough decisions” may follow if ministers continue to create controversies.
