Emotional Tanushree Dutta Appeals for Help, Claims Ongoing Harassment at Home

Mumbai : Former Miss India and Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta has released a deeply distressing video on social media, in which she is seen in tears, pleading for help. In the clip, she tearfully confesses that she has been subjected to persistent harassment in her own home, describing the situation as unbearable. Dutta disclosed that she has filed a police complaint regarding this ongoing harassment .

This public plea comes years after Dutta first came into the spotlight during India’s #MeToo movement, when she accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment during a 2008 film shoot. While Patekar was cleared by the police in 2019, the controversy continued: in March 2025, a Mumbai court dismissed Dutta’s MeToo complaint, citing legal time limitations and lack of fresh evidence .

In today’s emotionally charged video, Dutta’s words have sparked concern among her fans and the wider community, escalating fears about her safety and well‑being. Her call for help highlights the enduring consequences of the earlier scandal and raises broader questions about celebrity privacy and personal security.
