Kalyan-Dombivli, Maharashtra :- A 76-year-old disabled man, identified as Kashinath Sonawane, allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from the terrace of his building due to the ongoing water shortage in his area.
Residents in the MIDC residential zone have been facing an acute water crisis for several days, with many households not receiving a single drop of water for drinking or daily use. The severe scarcity has caused widespread frustration among locals.
Following the incident, MLA Rajesh More met with officials from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and directed them to take immediate steps to restore the water supply and provide relief to the affected residents.
