Chikhloli, Ambarnath — Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated a new Diwani and Junior Level Judicial Officer First Class Court in Chikhloli, Ambarnath, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The opening of this “temple of justice” has brought significant relief to local residents, who will now have quicker access to judicial services.

Ambarnath, known for its ancient Shiva temple and industrial presence under MIDC, now marks another milestone with this judicial facility. In recent years, new courts have also been established in Meera Bhayander, Thane, and Ambernath, while tomorrow will see the inauguration of a new court building in Jawhar.

Speaking at the event, Deputy CM Shinde emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary, ensuring efficiency, and expediting the judicial process. He also assured the establishment of a furnished building to address concerns over the 130-year-old Kalyan court building, following the High Court judges’ request.

The inauguration was attended by High Court Justices Girish Kulkarni, Shriram Modak, Manjusha Deshpande, and Advay Sethna; Thane District and Sessions Judge Srinivas Agrawal; Bar Council members Gajanan Chavan and Sanjay Sonawane; MLA Dr. Balaji Kinikar; Thane Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumre; along with judges, lawyers, and court staff.
