Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone was seen at the airport on Friday, effortlessly blending comfort and style in a breezy summer ensemble. Dressed in a cozy hoodie and jeans with minimal accessories, the actress kept it casual as she jetted out of the city.
Her appearance comes amid mounting speculation that she has opted out of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-talked-about action drama Spirit, which stars Prabhas in the lead. Deepika was earlier reported to have signed on for the project with a fee reportedly around ₹20 crore. However, industry buzz now suggests creative differences may have led to her exit.
According to a report the Animal director was allegedly hesitant about some of Deepika’s terms—including an eight-hour workday cap, a substantial paycheck, and a share in the film’s profits. These conditions, sources claim, may have prompted the production team to reconsider the collaboration.
While no official confirmation has been issued, the project’s casting status remains under speculation.
Despite this development, Deepika’s schedule appears far from empty. The actress is reportedly prepping for King, a highly anticipated film that reunites her with Shah Rukh Khan. The project is also expected to feature his daughter Suhana Khan in a key role, alongside Rani Mukerji, with Abhishek Bachchan rumored to portray the antagonist.
Meanwhile, Deepika is relishing motherhood after welcoming baby Dua with husband Ranveer Singh in September 2024. While Ranveer remains occupied with multiple shooting schedules, Deepika has been enjoying quality time with her daughter before resuming full-scale professional commitments.
Though she’s rumored to be in talks for several other film projects, formal announcements are still awaited. As for Ranveer, he’s expected to begin work on Don 3 later this year in September.
