Navi Mumbai : Datta Meghe Academy celebrated its Annual Commendation Ceremony with great enthusiasm at the CIDCO Auditorium, honouring the academic and extracurricular excellence of its students for the academic year 2024–25. The ceremony stood as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education and the nurturing of talent across diverse fields.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the trustees, including Mrs. Pushpa Meghe and Mrs. Shama Meghe, along with Principal Mr. Rajeev Kumar. This symbolic act, joined by all dignitaries, marked the beginning of an evening filled with pride and inspiration.


The ceremony featured the school anthem and a stirring rendition of “Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza,” celebrating cultural heritage and state pride. A soulful Ganesh Aarti dance performance by students added a traditional touch, followed by a Western dance on the song “Sitaare Zameen Par,” showcasing the creative flair of the students.
Chief Guest Dr. Rishi Sherekar lauded the students’ dedication and presented awards across sports, academics, and cultural achievements. Bollywood actor Mr. Sanjay Suri, attending as a special guest, inspired students with an encouraging address on perseverance, dreams, and discipline.

Highlights of the Prize Distribution:
Aryaa Kadam, a national-level rhythmic gymnast, was honoured for clinching 1st place at National, State, and DSO levels and for representing India in the Asian Championship held in Singapore.
Riya Adhav secured 1st position in Shot Put (Under-19, DSO).
Anant Pal and Rudra Singh won 2nd place in Under-19 Badminton Doubles (SFA Championship).
Aditya Gajula, Sushant Chauhan, Keith D’Cruz, and Paarth Bhangle received awards for their achievements in athletics and chess at the SFA Championships.

Academic Excellence Recognized:
Sharayu Nilesh Phadnis topped Grade X with 98%, scoring full marks in Sanskrit.
Rishika Jitendra Shelke and Gaurika Kamlesh Sawant stood 2nd and 3rd in Grade X.
Soukhya Sameer Khatavkar ranked 1st in Grade XII with 94% and cleared the CA Foundation exam, receiving a ₹10,000 cash prize.
Sahil Prasad Kargutkar, Grade XII topper and NEET rank holder (7257), received ₹7000.

Krisika Asthana and Prajakta Jha (91.2% each) were awarded ₹5000 each for their academic brilliance.
The ceremony concluded with a group photograph session and heartfelt speeches by school leaders, faculty members, and dignitaries. The auditorium echoed with applause and celebration as proud parents, teachers, and students came together to mark this momentous occasion.
Datta Meghe Academy once again affirmed its role as a beacon of excellence, shaping young minds into confident, capable, and conscientious citizens of tomorrow.
