Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has strongly rebutted a startling claim made by NCP chief Sharad Pawar, in which Pawar stated that “two people had guaranteed him 160 seats” in the state assembly.
Fadnavis labeled Pawar’s assertion as either a figment of his imagination or a statement made with ulterior motives, utterly rejecting its validity. Emphasizing the fairness and transparency of the electoral process, the CM underscored that the claim is baseless.
This exchange intensified political debate, emerging on the heels of Pawar’s vocal support for Rahul Gandhi during discussions on electoral proceedings. Fadnavis’s remarks have since become a focal point of political discourse across Maharashtra.
