CM Devendra Fadnavis Leads Tribute as 12 Shivaji Maharaj Forts Enter UNESCO World Heritage List

Mumbai : A moment of pride and cultural celebration unfolded at the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly as leaders gathered to pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, following the inclusion of 12 of his historic forts in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
A floral tribute was offered at Shivaji Maharaj’s statue at the Legislative Bhavan. Slogans of “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji” echoed on the steps of the Vidhan Bhavan, marking a powerful remembrance of Shivaji Maharaj’s valor and legacy.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Co-operative Minister, and several MLAs were present at the ceremony. Special thanks were extended to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in securing global recognition for the iconic forts that represent Maharashtra’s proud Maratha heritage.
