Mumbai : In significant move to boost skilled manpower for Maharashtra’s growing port sector, a landmark agreement was signed today between the Maharashtra Government and Atal Solutions International. The initiative, driven by Rural Enhancers in collaboration with the Maharashtra Maritime Board, ITI, and the Skill Development Department, aims to equip six ITI centers in the Vanana port area with industry-relevant training.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who highlighted the importance of aligning vocational training with industry needs. Under this initiative, not only the six centers at Vanana but a total of 300 ITI centers across the state will be upgraded in phases to create a skilled workforce tailored to various sectors, including port operations.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Fisheries and Port Development Minister Nitesh Rane, departmental secretaries, and senior officials from Rural Enhancers were also present during the event.

The government believes this strategic partnership will play a crucial role in empowering youth and strengthening the industrial ecosystem by addressing the gap in skilled manpower.
