Navi Mumbai: With the monsoon season fast approaching, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has activated its 24×7 Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) at CIDCO Bhavan in CBD Belapur to handle any weather-related emergencies. The centre will remain operational around the clock—including weekends and public holidays—until September 30.
Functioning as a centralized hub, the EOC is prepared to respond to incidents such as tree falls, potholes, waterlogging, open drains, garbage accumulation, fire hazards, building collapses, landslides, snake bites, disease outbreaks, and drowning cases due to flooding.
CIDCO’s Chief Vigilance Officer, Suresh Mengade, conducted an inspection of the facility on Monday to assess its readiness. “All nodal officers have been instructed to remain alert and ensure prompt resolution of citizen complaints during emergencies,” he stated. Key departments—including engineering, health, fire brigade, security, and garden services—will coordinate closely to guarantee swift response in crisis situations.
