Mumbai: In a proactive move ahead of Ganeshotsav 2025, the Municipal Corporation today conducted a one-day training session for volunteers from 39 Public Shri Ganeshotsav Mandals at the F South Division office. The session focused on key areas of disaster management, crowd control, fire safety, CPR, and emergency response measures during the festival.
Experts from the Emergency Management Department of the Municipal Corporation, Mumbai Fire Brigade, BEST, K.E.M. Hospital doctors, and officers guided volunteers on handling emergencies, administering first aid, and transporting patients to hospitals during crises. Live demonstrations on fire extinguishing techniques and CPR were conducted, with hands-on participation by the volunteers.
The initiative aimed at ensuring safe and smooth celebrations during Ganeshotsav. All participating volunteers were honored with certificates of participation.
