Mumbai : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has arranged extensive sanitation facilities for agitators gathered at Azad Maidan in support of the Maratha reservation demand.
Public toilets across Azad Maidan and nearby areas, normally operating on a “pay-and-use” basis, have been made free for protesters.
A 29-seat toilet block inside the ground, three rotating toilets with 10 seats each on Mahatma Gandhi Road, and 12 portable toilets at the Metro site have been deployed.
Additionally, 250 toilets across Fashion Street and its surroundings have been opened for free use.
The civic body stated that these measures are aimed at ensuring hygiene and convenience for the large crowd participating in the agitation.
