Bhopal Doctor Duped of ₹10 Lakh in Fake ‘Bigg Boss’ Entry Scam

A shocking fraud case has surfaced in Bhopal where a dermatologist, Dr. Abhinit Gupta, lost ₹10 lakh to a man posing as an event company director, who promised him an entry into the popular reality TV show Bigg Boss.

Police said the accused, identified as Karan Singh alias “Prince”, contacted Dr. Gupta in 2022 claiming he could secure a spot in Bigg Boss Season 19 for a fee of ₹50 lakh. Trusting his assurances, the doctor paid ₹10 lakh in advance.

When the official contestant list was announced without his name, Singh promised a “wild card” entry later in the season, which never happened. The accused then stopped answering calls and went missing.

Following a complaint, Chunabhatti police registered a case under Section 420 of the IPC and launched a search for the suspect. Investigators believe more people may have been targeted in the same scam.
