Bhayander, June 23, 2025 — In a shocking case that has sent ripples through the local community, a 50-year-old private tutor in Bhayander, Thane district, has been arrested for allegedly physically assaulting multiple 17-year-old girl students during private tuition sessions.
The matter came to light after the students confided in their parents about repeated instances of abuse. Troubled by the revelations, the families approached Kashimira Police Station in Bhayander West and lodged formal complaints against the tutor.
Acting swiftly, the police registered a case and apprehended the accused. He has been charged under relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those pertaining to assault or criminal force with intent to outrage a woman’s modesty.
