In a recent interview with TAG TV, Razzak Baloch, Secretary General of the Baloch American Congress, asserted that more than 80% of Balochistan is no longer effectively governed by Pakistan. He claimed that Pakistani military forces steer clear of cities like Quetta after nightfall, suggesting a significant loss of state control in the region. Drawing parallels to the events leading up to the 1971 crisis, Baloch warned of a similar unraveling.
He appealed to the international community, especially democratic nations, to recognize and support the Baloch movement. Baloch also floated the idea of India potentially providing refuge to a Baloch government-in-exile. Emphasizing diplomacy over conflict, he described the current situation as an opportunity to foster peace and regional stability.
