Meerut: An Army jawan, Kapil Kavad of the Rajput Regiment, was allegedly assaulted by toll booth staff in Meerut while on his way to catch a flight for his posting in Srinagar.
A video of the incident surfaced showing the jawan being pinned against a pole and beaten with sticks by multiple men.
Following a complaint from his family, police registered a case and arrested four toll booth employees. Authorities confirmed that efforts are underway to trace and nab the remaining accused.
The shocking assault has sparked outrage, with many demanding strict action against the culprits.
