Mumbai: Political tensions within the Munde family have escalated after Anjali Damania, a prominent BJP leader, made serious allegations against Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde. Damania claimed that Dhananjay Munde had encouraged her to fight against his cousin and fellow BJP leader, Pankaja Munde.
Damania stated, *”Dhananjay Munde thought I should take on Pankaja Munde in the political arena.”* She did not provide further details but hinted at internal conflicts within the party.
Dhananjay Munde, who belongs to the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), and Pankaja Munde, a senior BJP leader, have had a long-standing political rivalry. Damania’s remarks have sparked fresh controversy, with political analysts speculating about deeper rifts in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
Neither Dhananjay nor Pankaja Munde has publicly responded to the allegations yet. The BJP and NCP are also yet to comment on the matter.
