Activist Yash Karande Alleges Harassment By Dream Weavers And Police Officer In Mumbai

Mumbai :Social activist Yash Karande has leveled serious allegations against production company Dream Weavers and PSI Durga Kharde of VP Road Police Station, claiming harassment, assault, and false implication when he sought his pending dues.

Karande stated that on Friday evening, he visited the Dream Weavers office in Khetwadi to demand payments allegedly pending since February. According to him, the company owner Lokendra initially denied being present but was later found inside the office. Soon after, Lokendra’s associates allegedly arrived, threatened Karande, and slapped his colleague Jayesh.

Karande further alleged that instead of addressing the dispute, the company called the police and accused him of “breaking in,” even though, he claims, the door was already open. Matters worsened at VP Road Police Station, where he said officers were uncooperative.

In a shocking charge, Karande alleged that PSI Durga Kharde threw her official badge at his friend Ruchi’s face, nearly causing injury.

“We asked for our hard-earned money, but instead we received threats, slaps, false FIRs, and even had a police officer’s badge thrown at us,” Karande said, calling the incident an abuse of power.

He demanded strict action against PSI Kharde for assault and legal proceedings against Lokendra and Dream Weavers for cheating, intimidation, and filing false complaints.

“This is not just about us—it’s about citizens being silenced for asking what is rightfully theirs. We will not back down,” Karande asserted.
