Mumbai : In a major relief for commuters in South Mumbai, the newly renamed Vermilion Railway Flyover (formerly Karnak Bridge) near Masjid Port Railway Station was officially opened for traffic today at 3 PM.
The flyover, which connects the bustling D’Melo Road, is expected to significantly reduce congestion in key areas including Masjid Port, Camp, Boribandar, Colaba, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Officials say the newly inaugurated structure will ensure smoother and faster travel for daily commuters and residents alike, particularly those navigating through the dense commercial zones of South Mumbai.
Local authorities expressed hope that the flyover will play a crucial role in streamlining traffic and enhancing connectivity in the area.
