In a proud and historic ceremony at the Central Hall of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis led the state in honoring Chief Justice of India Bhushan Gavai. The event marked a celebration of Justice Gavai’s exceptional contributions to the judiciary and his embodiment of social equality and inclusiveness in Indian democracy.
Chief Justice Gavai, hailed as a “son of Maharashtra,” was praised for upholding constitutional values, delivering justice to marginalized communities, and maintaining a deep sense of humanity throughout his legal career. CM Fadnavis remarked that Justice Gavai’s rise to the top post in the judiciary is not only a matter of pride for Maharashtra but a testament to the strength of Indian democracy.
Prominent dignitaries including Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde, Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narwekar, Deputy Speaker Anna Bansode, Council Vice Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Union Minister Ramdas Athavale, and Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve were also present during the grand event.
