Gadchiroli :- In a commendable effort to uplift marginalized communities, Miam Charitable Trust — led by dedicated social worker Neetu Joshi — is spearheading a movement to empower tribal women in Maharashtra’s remote Gadchiroli district.
The initiative focuses especially on single mothers and women affected by widespread alcohol addiction among men in the region. These women, often forced to raise children alone, are now being trained to speak confidently, participate in public discourse, and reclaim their agency in society.

“Recently, during a public gathering in Gadchiroli, tribal women stood up and spoke courageously before politicians and officials. It was a proud moment for all of us,” said Joshi, highlighting the transformation driven by the Trust’s public speaking and confidence-building programs.
Alongside women’s empowerment, the Trust also works to improve educational access for underprivileged children, especially orphans and those preparing for competitive exams. Through free book distribution and payment of school fees, the organization is ensuring that tribal and farming community students don’t miss out on opportunities.
With Neetu Joshi at the helm, Miam Charitable Trust continues to foster social change, creating a more inclusive and empowered future for Maharashtra’s tribal populations.
