Mumbai :- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Mumbai Regional Committee member Pranali Girish Raut has raised serious concerns over alleged efforts to shut down a reputed BMC-run school near Sunawala Agiary Road and MMC Road in Mahim.
The school, which serves thousands of students from the local community, has long been recognized for its quality education and strong presence in the area.
Raut stated that despite multiple assurances from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and verbal promises from officials that the school would remain open, covert moves to close it are reportedly still in progress.
“Concerned parents and citizens have already submitted appeals to the Municipal Commissioner and other authorities to safeguard the institution,” Raut said.
She further expressed disappointment over the situation, pointing out that the Hon’ble Chief Minister had previously pledged that no schools in Maharashtra would be shut down.
Calling on Mahim residents and parents to unite, Raut emphasized the school’s vital role in the community. “This institution is not just a building it’s a pillar of our locality’s future. We must act now to save it,” she urged.
