Mumbai :- Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has praised the return of the legendary TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, calling it “the show that changed Indian television.” Taking to social media, Johar celebrated the iconic drama’s comeback and its lasting impact on Indian pop culture.
Originally launched in 2000 by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, the show became a household name and revolutionized Indian daily soaps with its emotional storytelling and multi-generational characters. It also marked the rise of strong female protagonists like Tulsi Virani, played by Smriti Irani.
Johar, known for his deep ties with Indian entertainment, said the show’s return is a nostalgic moment for millions. “This show was not just a serial—it was a movement,” he remarked.
