Mira-Bhayandar: Tensions flared in the Mira-Bhayandar area after police denied permission for a protest march organized by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over Marathi language rights. The march, led by senior MNS leaders including Avinash Jadhav and Sandeep Deshpande, was aimed at raising concerns about the alleged sidelining of Marathi language and culture in the region.

Following the denial, several MNS workers expressed strong displeasure, calling the decision an attack on their democratic rights. Party leaders claimed that despite giving prior intimation, the administration blocked the march citing law and order concerns.

Videos from the spot show aggressive reactions from MNS supporters, who vowed to continue their agitation through democratic means. The party has warned of intensified protests if their demands for promoting Marathi identity in the region are not met.
