Mumbai : Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has urged Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav to immediately intervene and halt the cutting of trees in Mumbai’s Kurla area.
Raising environmental concerns, Thackeray condemned the large-scale tree felling allegedly linked to a development project. He stressed the importance of protecting the city’s green cover amid rising pollution and climate challenges.
Taking to social media, Thackeray shared that he has formally written to the Union Minister, calling for an immediate stop to the tree cutting and demanding accountability. He also emphasized the need for proper environmental clearances and public consultation before proceeding with such activities.
