Mumbai: The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and parking limitations around Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in anticipation of the IPL 2025 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC). The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM, and authorities expect heavy traffic congestion in the vicinity, especially during the evening rush hours.
Traffic Restrictions:
Veer Nariman Road, from Churchgate Junction to Sundarmahal Junction, may be closed to vehicular traffic as required.
Connecting routes such as N.S. Road, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘F’, and ‘G’ Roads, and E Cross Road are likely to see significant pedestrian and vehicle movement.
No -Parking Zones:
“C” Road (North side): N.S. Road junction to “E” Road junction
“D” Road: N.S. Road junction to “E” Road junction
“E” Road: “D” Road junction to “C” Road junction
“F” Road: N.S. Road junction to “E Cross Road” junction
“G” Road (South side): N.S. Road junction to “E Cross Road” junction
N.S. Road (North & South bound): From Mafatlal Bath Signal to Air India Junction
Veer Nariman Road (both directions): From Churchgate Junction to Sundarmahal Junction
Vehicles found parked in these restricted zones will be towed away, and e-challans will be issued.
Alternate Routes:
From Churchgate Junction, take Maharshi Karve Road to Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House), then turn toward Vinoli Chowpatty.
Alternatively, travel from Ramdev Potdar Junction (C.T.O) via Chafekar Bandhu Chowk (O.C.S), then continue along M.G. Road, Shyamaldas Junction, and Meghdut Bridge (Princess Street).
Advice for Spectators:
Use public transportation, especially local trains, to reach the stadium.
