White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently recounted an interaction in Doha, where a Kashmiri waiter expressed gratitude for former President Donald Trump’s role in easing the latest military standoff between India and Pakistan.
According to Leavitt, the man shared during breakfast that he had just received confirmation he could return home following the May 10 ceasefire — an outcome he credited to U.S. intervention.
“President Trump isn’t getting enough recognition for literally stopping a nuclear war — and that’s the truth!” Leavitt posted on X.
She lauded Trump, Vice President, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their part in securing what she described as a “historic milestone” in American diplomacy.
However, Indian authorities have firmly denied any third-party involvement, maintaining that the ceasefire was the result of direct, bilateral military discussions.
