Maharashtra cyber officials announced on Monday that they have identified over 1.5 million cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure websites across India, tracing them to seven Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups. These groups are primarily associated with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and countries in the Middle East. The frequency of attacks increased after the April 22 terror incident in Pahalgam. Although the volume was high, only 150 attacks succeeded. Officials also noted that the cyberattacks persisted even after a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, according to PTI.
