New Delhi :- An all-party meeting was held in Parliament today to discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, with leaders across the political spectrum condemning the violence and urging unity in the fight against terrorism.
The attack, which targeted security personnel, has drawn sharp criticism from both the government and opposition parties. During the meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah assured that the Centre is taking strong action to neutralize threats in the region and reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Opposition leaders, including Congress’s Mallikarjun Kharge and TMC’s Derek O’Brien, expressed solidarity with the security forces and called for a thorough investigation into the incident. They also emphasized the need for a coordinated strategy to prevent such attacks in the future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a statement, paid tribute to the bravery of the security personnel and vowed that “those behind this cowardly act will not be spared.”
The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution condemning terrorism and reaffirming India’s resolve to combat extremism. Further discussions on security measures in J&K are expected in the coming days.
