Munbai : In a heartbreaking incident, a 25-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl died after a massive fire broke out in Mumbai’s Mankhurd area late Monday night. The tragedy was confirmed by civic officials on Tuesday.
How It Happened
The Mumbai Fire Brigade reported flames erupting around 8:20 PM in Janta Nagar, near Hanuman Temple in Mandala. Firefighters and emergency responders arrived quickly to battle the blaze and conduct rescue operations.
The Victims
Farah Khan, 25, sustained critical burns covering 70% of her body. After initial treatment at Shatabdi Hospital in Govandi, she was transferred to Sion Hospital where she passed away at 11:30 PM on April 21. The second victim, young Khushi Khan, was pronounced dead upon reaching medical care.
While the exact cause remains unknown, authorities have launched a full investigation. Local officials have pledged support to the grieving families affected by this devastating fire.
