Raj Thackeray Hints at Alliance with Uddhav Thackeray in Big Maharashtra Political Twist

Mumbai :– In a significant political development, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has hinted at a possible alliance with his cousin Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) during an exclusive interview with actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar. The remarks have sparked speculation about a potential reunion between the two factions ahead of upcoming elections.
Speaking candidly, Raj Thackeray acknowledged the need for “strong leadership” in Maharashtra and did not rule out joining forces with Shiv Sena (UBT) to counter the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. “The political scenario is changing, and we must prioritize Maharashtra’s interests,” he said.
While no formal announcement has been made, political analysts suggest that such an alliance could reshape Maharashtra’s politics. Uddhav Thackeray’s camp has yet to respond officially, but insiders indicate discussions may be underway.
Responding to Raj Thackeray’s comment while addressing a meeting of his party’s trade union wing, the Bhartiya Kamgar Sena, Uddhav Thackeray said he, too, is willing to set aside past differences in the interest of the Marathi language and Maharashtra. However, Uddhav added a condition — that Raj should not align himself with those who are against Maharashtra or support parties working against the state’s interests.
