The state government has mobilized hundreds of water tankers to supply drinking water as reservoirs and groundwater levels plummet due to insufficient rainfall and rising demand. Officials warn that the crisis could worsen in the coming weeks if monsoon rains are delayed. Authorities are urging water conservation and implementing emergency measures, including stricter regulations on water usage. Opposition leaders have criticized the government for inadequate preparedness, demanding faster relief efforts.
With temperatures rising, the state faces a critical challenge in ensuring water supply to millions of residents and farmers.
