Mumbai :- In a significant move to enhance skill development and employment opportunities, the Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Department of Maharashtra signed three pivotal agreements today. The signing ceremony, held after the State Cabinet meeting, was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, among other senior officials

The agreements were inked with leading social organizations, including the Shri Shri Rural Development Program Trust (SSRDPT, Bangalore), Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEFIF, Bangalore), Pune Dussehra Foundation, and Andheri Project Mumbai. These collaborations aim to establish state-of-the-art labs, provide training for micro and small entrepreneurs in 20 ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) across Maharashtra, and enhance technical learning and job prospects for differently-abled students in ITIs.
Chief Minister Fadnavis emphasized that these partnerships will play a crucial role in empowering youth, fostering innovation, and creating sustainable employment opportunities. Skill Development Minister Lodha highlighted the focus on upskilling students and entrepreneurs to meet industry demands.
The event was also attended by Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Skill Department’s Principal Secretary Manisha Verma, and other senior officials. The initiatives are expected to significantly boost Maharashtra’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and technical education framework.
This move aligns with the state’s vision of “Skill Maharashtra”, ensuring a skilled workforce ready for future challenges.
