Mumbai: Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora held a meeting with M. Angamuthu, Chairman of the Mumbai Port Trust, to review major development initiatives planned for Mumbai’s Eastern Waterfront.
During the discussion, Deora emphasized the importance of fast-tracking transformative coastal projects aimed at boosting the city’s maritime and economic potential. He also proposed the establishment of a Maritime Museum to celebrate Mumbai’s rich seafaring heritage — tracing its journey from the visionary naval strategies of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the evolution of India’s modern naval and commercial infrastructure.
