34 Dead in Two Horrific Road Accidents in Telangana and Rajasthan

In a tragic weekend on Indian roads, at least 34 people were killed in two separate road accidents — one in Telangana and another in Rajasthan.

In Telangana’s Rangareddy district, a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus collided head-on with a truck, killing 19 people, including 10 women. Four others sustained serious injuries. Police said the impact was so severe that parts of the bus were crushed, trapping several passengers inside. Rescue teams used heavy equipment to extract the victims from the mangled vehicle.

In a separate incident in Rajasthan’s Phalodi area, a speeding tempo traveller rammed into a stationary trailer near Matoda village, leaving 15 people dead — among them 10 women and four children — and injuring two others. The victims were returning from a religious event at a nearby ashram when the accident occurred.

Authorities in both states have launched investigations into the causes of the crashes. Preliminary reports suggest overspeeding and driver negligence as possible factors. Officials have urged motorists to adhere strictly to road safety rules and speed limits, emphasizing the urgent need for better highway safety measures across the country.
