Kanpur :- A 16-year-old boy, identified as Aarav Mishra, a distant relative of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, was found dead at his home in Old Kanpur on Monday. Police said the teenager died by suicide and left behind a note stating that he was being “haunted by spirits.”
According to the Kohna Police, Aarav’s body was discovered hanging in his room by his grandmother after repeated calls went unanswered. His parents were away in Bhagalpur for Chhath Puja, and his sister was attending college at the time.
In his note, Aarav reportedly wrote that unseen forces were tormenting him and urging him either to harm his family or take his own life. Family members told police that he had recently complained about hearing strange voices and seeing unfamiliar faces, but they initially dismissed his fears as imagination.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and registered a case of suspected suicide. Officials said they are investigating all possible angles, including mental health issues. Local leaders and relatives of the family have visited to offer condolences.
