Mumbai : The Mumbai Metro-3 “Aqua Line” is all set to begin complete operations, providing seamless underground connectivity from Cuffe Parade to SEEPZ. With this launch, Mumbai will witness one of its most significant transit upgrades, directly linking major city hubs including CSMT and Churchgate.
The newly opened south corridor will cover 11 underground stations—Science Centre, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai Central, Grant Road, Girgaon, Kalbadevi, CSMT, Hutatma Chowk, Churchgate, Vidhan Bhavan, and Cuffe Parade.
Officials said the completion of the line will not only reduce travel time between South Mumbai and the northern suburbs but also ease congestion on existing transport networks.
The Aqua Line now fulfills its full vision, connecting a total of 27 stations and offering faster, more convenient, and eco-friendly travel across the city. This milestone marks a major leap in Mumbai’s urban mobility and public transport infrastructure.
