Raigad: In a major breakthrough, Khopoli Police arrested an absconding murder accused at the India-Nepal border in connection with Cr No. 224/2025.
The accused had allegedly killed the victim by striking his head with a stone in a brutal attack. According to police, the motive behind the murder was a heated dispute over repayment of money that the victim had demanded.
After committing the crime, the accused fled and had been evading arrest for months. Acting on intelligence inputs, police successfully tracked him down at the border and took him into custody.
Further investigation is underway.
