India lifted the Asia Cup 2025 trophy after defeating arch-rivals Pakistan in a dramatic final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Batting first, Pakistan got off to a flying start with Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) building an 84-run opening stand. However, their strong position quickly turned into a collapse as they lost nine wickets for just 33 runs, crashing to 146 all out in 19.1 overs.
India’s bowling attack was led by Kuldeep Yadav (4/30), who was instrumental in breaking Pakistan’s momentum. Varun Chakaravarthy (2/30) and Axar Patel (2/26) added crucial breakthroughs, while Jasprit Bumrah finished things off with the last wicket.
Chasing 147, India stumbled early at 20/3, but Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson steadied the innings with a composed partnership. Their resilience ensured India crossed the target, sealing a memorable victory.
This was the first-ever India vs Pakistan Asia Cup final, making the triumph even more historic for the Men in Blue.
