Ahilyanagar: The Crime Branch has successfully foiled a major robbery attempt on the Nagar-Pune Highway by arresting a notorious five-member gang that had been terrorizing the Supa and Parner regions.
The gang was intercepted while plotting the crime, leading to the recovery of stolen goods worth around ₹8 lakh, including an Innova car, a pistol with cartridges, and various tools used for robbery.
Police confirmed that the accused have a history of serious criminal activities, with cases registered against them for attempt to murder, robbery, and dacoity. Authorities are now investigating their involvement in other similar crimes across the region.
