Fighting India’s Silent Epidemic: Motapa Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Launched to Tackle Rising Obesity Crisis

Mumbai : Obesity has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing health threats, fueling cases of diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. To address this crisis, Madhavbaug, a leading name in Ayurveda-based lifestyle disease management, has launched the Motapa Mukt Bharat Abhiyan on September 17, 2025 — coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

The nationwide digital movement provides a free Obesity Risk Score test, Ayurveda-based diet plans, and home-based exercise modules, making scientific obesity reversal accessible to every Indian.

“This is not about crash diets or shortcuts. Our goal is to empower people to adopt habits that last a lifetime,” said Dr. Rohit Sane, Founder & CEO of Madhavbaug.

Health experts warn that obesity levels have nearly doubled in urban India over the past 15 years, with rural areas catching up rapidly. The campaign aims to encourage early intervention and promote long-term lifestyle changes.

Positioned as a people’s movement, Motapa Mukt Bharat seeks to transform families into centers of health and wellness, with early participants already reporting positive results.

Madhavbaug has urged citizens to take the free risk score online and join the mission, emphasizing that healthier individuals lead to stronger families — and a stronger India.
