Mumbai: Under the state-wide campaign ‘Cleanliness is Service 2025’, Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Mumbai City District Shri Eknath Shinde, along with Minister for Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, led a major cleanliness drive at the Metro Cinema area of the Municipal Corporation’s A Ward on Thursday.
The initiative, carried out through active public participation, emphasized the motto “One Day, One Hour, Together.” Leaders, officials, and citizens joined hands to sweep footpaths, wash them with water, and contribute through shramdaan (voluntary labor). A collective oath of self-reliance and cleanliness was also taken on the occasion.
The campaign saw the presence of Metropolitan Commissioner and Administrator Mr. Bhushan Gagrani, Chief Secretary of City Development Department Mr. H. Govind Raj, Chief Secretary Mr. New Gold, Deputy Commissioner (Circle 1) Mrs. Chanda Jadhav, and Assistant Commissioner Mr. Jaydeep More.
Students, laborers, NGO representatives, and local citizens actively participated, showcasing Mumbai’s united commitment to a cleaner city.
