Tourist Bus Stuck in High Tide at Gorai Beach; Bomb Threats Continue to Trigger Panic Across Cities

Mumbai : A tourist bus got stuck on the wet sand during high tide at Gorai beach on Monday morning. Officials confirmed that no passengers were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. According to Gorai Police, the driver had dropped off tourists at a nearby bungalow before attempting to turn the bus along the shore, where it got trapped in wet sand around 10 a.m. With the help of local residents, the bus was later pulled out safely.

Meanwhile, panic gripped Mumbai late Saturday night after bomb threat emails were received by Mumbai Airport and Nair Hospital. The email to Nair Hospital’s dean arrived around 11 p.m., sparking fear among staff and patients. Security teams were immediately deployed, but searches revealed no suspicious objects. Police have launched an investigation to trace the source of the emails.

The incident comes days after astrologer Ashwini Kumar was arrested for sending bomb threats, falsely claiming ties to a Pakistan-based jihadi group and alleging the presence of 14 terrorists in Mumbai. Authorities recovered multiple mobile phones, SIM cards, memory holders, and electronic gadgets from him.

In recent weeks, India has seen a surge in bomb hoax emails. Earlier this week, Patna Civil Court and Mumbai’s Girgaon ISKCON temple received similar threats that turned out to be false alarms. On the same day, several Delhi schools—including Maxfort School (Dwarka), Crescent School (Pitampura), and Kant Darshan School (Najafgarh)—also received bomb threat emails, which were later declared hoaxes after thorough inspections.

Police have urged citizens to remain calm, assuring that all such threats are being investigated with utmost seriousness.
