Mumbai : Bollywood actor Ashish Warang, known for his impactful supporting roles in several popular films, passed away on Friday, September 5, at the age of 55.
Warang was widely recognized for his performances in Sooryavanshi, Drishyam, Mardaani, Simmba, Cirkus, and Ek Villain Returns. He was often seen portraying police officers, roles that earned him appreciation from audiences.
While the official cause of death has not been confirmed, reports suggest that the actor had been unwell for some time and succumbed to illness. His sudden demise has left the film fraternity and fans in shock.
Beyond Hindi cinema, Warang also worked in Marathi films such as Dharmaveer and Tandav, as well as South Indian movies. Throughout his career, he shared the screen with industry legends including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Rani Mukerji, Ranveer Singh, John Abraham, and collaborated with filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
He was also active on social media, often sharing glimpses of his collaborations with top stars and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan.
Independent filmmaker Erin Paul confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “Shocked to hear about the passing of actor Ashish Warang. I had the privilege of working with him. May his soul rest in peace; his work will live on in the memories he helped create. Ashish ji, you will be deeply missed.”
Warang leaves behind a legacy of dedication and versatility across Hindi, Marathi, and South Indian cinema. His passing marks the loss of a talented actor who carved a unique space for himself in Indian films.
