Thane : In a major breakthrough, the Mira Bhayandar police have dismantled a large-scale drug manufacturing syndicate operating out of Telangana. Authorities seized nearly 32,000 liters of raw MD drugs, estimated to be worth around ₹12,000 crore in the international market.
The probe began with the recovery of 200 grams of MD drugs valued at ₹25 lakh, which eventually led investigators to the massive clandestine unit. So far, 13 individuals linked to the syndicate have been apprehended.
Police revealed that the racket involved advanced equipment, specialized chemicals, and a vast supply chain with connections across India and abroad, making it difficult to trace its origins. Further investigations are underway to uncover more about the network’s international links.
