Mumbai : The Maratha reservation movement, which has been intensifying across Mumbai and various parts of Maharashtra, faced a tragic turn on Saturday evening. Vijay Ghogre, an active participant from Takalgaon in Ahmedpur taluka, Latur district, passed away suddenly due to a heart attack. His untimely death has sent waves of grief through the protestors and the Maratha community.
According to reports, Ghogre, who was actively involved in the reservation protests, complained of severe chest pain around 7 PM on Saturday. Fellow activists rushed him to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he was declared dead on arrival.
News of his passing deeply affected supporters at the protest sites, with many calling it a significant loss to the movement. Activists highlighted that Ghogre had always been a strong voice for the community, and his sudden demise is a major blow to their cause.
