Pune : Police in Pune’s Shikrapur area confronted a notorious thief, Lakhan Bhosale, who had recently robbed a woman at knifepoint in Satara. Lakhan, a resident of Jayaram Swami Wadgaon in Khatav taluka, was on the run after the incident two days ago, during which he snatched a gold chain from the woman.
Following the robbery, Lakhan fled Satara along with two accomplices. Satara police immediately dispatched a team to Pune after receiving information about his whereabouts.
During the operation in Shikrapur, police attempted to apprehend Lakhan, who resisted and attacked the officers with a knife. Lakhan Bhosale is already facing multiple charges of robbery and theft in Satara district. The encounter highlights ongoing efforts by Satara and Pune police to track and arrest criminals operating across districts.
