Mumbai : Popular television actress Priya Marathe, best known for her roles in Pavitra Rishta and Kasamh Se, passed away on Sunday at the age of 38 after battling cancer.
Priya, who worked extensively in both Marathi and Hindi television, was admired for her powerful performances in shows like Char Divas Sasuche, Tu Tithe Me, Kasamh Se, Comedy Circus, and Pavitra Rishta, where she played the role of Varsha. She also appeared in serials such as Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Uttaran, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, and the historical drama Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji.
Born on April 23, 1987, in Thane, Maharashtra, Priya began her acting journey with Marathi serials before making her mark in Hindi TV. She also featured in films like Ti Ani Itar (Marathi) and Humne Jeena Seekh Liya (Hindi).
She was married to actor Shantanu Moghe, son of veteran Marathi actor Shrikant Moghe.
Her untimely demise has left the entertainment industry and fans in shock, with many remembering her as a warm, talented, and versatile performer.
