A tragic accident occurred in Jalna district, Maharashtra, when a car carrying a patient plunged into a well on the Rajur–Tembhurni road near Delegaavhaan–Gadegaavhaan village on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, five people, including the patient, were inside the vehicle. All are feared dead after the car became submerged in water.
The victims are said to be members of the Dakle family from Gewrai Gungi, who were on their way to Sultanpur with a patient suffering from paralysis.
Local residents, along with police teams from Rajur and Tembhurni, immediately launched a rescue operation. A crane has been brought in to pull the car out of the well.
Officials said the exact number of casualties will be confirmed once the vehicle is recovered.
