Mumbai : In a disturbing incident in Nashik, a minor girl was sexually assaulted by a man who lured her with a false promise of marriage. The accused, Deepak Kumar Ramesh Kumar Pal, has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act following a complaint by the victim’s mother at the Upnagar police station.
The accused allegedly began manipulating the minor in 2024, drawing her into a false relationship with promises of marriage. He exploited her vulnerability when she was alone at home, forcing physical relations on multiple occasions. When confronted about marriage, he evaded the issue and later refused, leading the victim to end contact. The situation worsened when the accused threatened to kill the girl and her parents, assaulting her eight times, resulting in her pregnancy.
The case was reported after the victim’s mother filed a complaint, prompting police to register a case under the POCSO Act. Investigations are ongoing.
